Roguelike. Games like are like Rogue, the 1980’ procedurally generated dungeon crawl. Death is permanent and any equipment, experience or progress is reset upon death.
Roguelite. Similar to a Roguelike, but certain things picked up in a run can be carried over to the next one. These carryovers will allow the player character to begin subsequent runs stronger than previous ones.

I really like the idea of Pike having those characteristics. They represent the best in us. To me, that’s what Star Trek should be. An opportunity to show what we could be if we were able to rise above our material wants, greed, and religious baggage.
I don’t care what the show is about, I just want to see well adjusted people handle tough situations.

Sometimes I wonder if the more mystic explanation for the force in the original trilogy was a mistake by Lucas. Quotes like "Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter" are in such contrast to "The reading is off the chart. Over 20,000. Even Master Yoda doesn’t have a midi-chlorian count that high!" are in such contrast to each other it is hard to wrap my head around the fact that the same filmmaker expressed both ideas.

"I’ve been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner. Now, I am the master."
I always understood this as the two of them not seeing each other since the events of Episode III. I suppose it could be interpreted otherwise and am curious to see if the writers address it or just hand wave that statement away.

Luke’s defining moment in the original trilogy was throwing away his lightsaber. It was only then that he declared himself a Jedi. His journey was not about becoming a great warrior (war does not make one great), it was about embracing the good in his father and understanding that victory stemming from the blade of a sword (be or of the light variety or not) would only make him more like the creature that his father had become.
Luke showing up in Mando and mowing down hallways full of robots wasn’t an expansion of Luke Skywalker, it was wish fulfillment for nerds who argue about Jedi marital art tier lists on the Star Wars subreddit.

I saw Revenge of the Sith in the theater. When Anakin turned one person let out a distinct belly laugh which led to a lot of the rest of the audience laughing as well.
For me at least, no amount of novels or animated shows that try to "fill in the gaps" will be able to replace that feeling of absolute absurdity in the theater.

I haven’t seem Moonknight yet, but I did feel that Marvel restricted Wandavision from being something really special. The idea of a person with reality shaping powers being so grief stricken that she creates a self-fabricated fantasy world and blinds herself to the pain that she is causing other people is a really interesting idea. The drama that is caused by dealing (or not dealing) with that grief should have been more than enough for the show to ride on.
The first few episodes really felt like they were exploring that, but then the show basically said, "Nope, a wizard did it. Now go fight the bad wizard".
I’m down for a wizard (or witch) fight as much as the next guy, but it really felt like it undercut the ideas and themes of the other episodes.

Cool. Watched it a couple of nights ago and really liked it. An imperfect Batman who causes as much fear in the people he is trying to protect as those he is trying to hunt was really engaging to watch.
I really hope that they keep ole Joker out of the sequel, the character needs a break.

Nope.
Earliest known bat was Onychonycteris which emerged about 52 million years ago.
Other critters shown in the opening picture…
- Triceratops – 66 million years ago
- Unknown Pterosaur – 66 million years ago(ish)
- Dimetrodon (I think?) – 272 million years ago
- Wooly Mammoth – Would have coexisted with bats
Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder

I hope that the delay is associated with getting Seth Rogan back in the studio to re-record every other actors lines. While he’s in there, he could also do double duty and create all of movie’s foley with his voice as well.
Mario: It’s a me! Mario. Aheh heh heh heh heh heh.
poorly imitated record scratch sound followed by an extensive bout of coughing
Bowser: No way! Aheh heh heh heh heh.

That doesn’t sound right, but I don’t know enough about Elden Ring to dispute it.

I just beat Morgott the Omen king on NG+ with a similar build.
I’m in no way good at these types of games, but so far I have been melting the bosses. Radahan went down to one unlimited FP cast of Metorite of Asteel. Renalla spent most of the fight staggered from the Moonveil chops. Comet Azure turned Mohg into a pile of ash.
We’ll see what happens with the Fire Giant and beyond, but so far it has been a total power fantasy.
That being said, I still run like a child from anything in Caelid.

A slightly better point of reference might be Denali in Alaska. The mountain rises about 18,000 feet from its base.
If you’ve ever been fortunate enough to spend some time in the park, the mountain absolutely dominates the landscape and everything you do.
Like, Denali, I would have loved if clouds occasionally obscured the top of the tree. The glow of the tree shining though thick cloud cover would be stunning.
