If you played the original & are on the fence now – do it. It’s well worth the money beyond having the (almost) complete original in it.

Maybe that’s a cultural difference, but meeting with strangers has never been a fun, social experience for me. Awkward "heyyyy, you’re here for the raid?" question to start things off, nod at another, maybe a quick question what kind of teams are good, raid, catch, nod goodbye, and leave. Sure, raiding with friends is different, but that’s not exactly the target audience for in-game communication or remote passes.

I’m still salty that they initially sold a seasonal real-time game as a full release riddled with bugs and only one quarter of the year’s core content done ("free updates" makes me snort, tbh). I’m glad people find joy with this, but I don’t think I can support them going forward.

Just put Depp and Heard in the Thunderdome and let em fight it out, for fuck’s sake.
I believe that’s where this whole story started, and I don’t need an encore.

It might be worth pointing out that the trial so far has been Depp’s side presenting its case with Heard’s side up next. But the break is really unfortunate, and IMHO shouldn’t have been allowed, since it gives Depp’s story way too long to manifest as ultimate truth without the counterstory that will surely throw some sand into these gears. Regardless of the actual trial’s outcome, I’m worried that Heard’s reputation will take undue damage simply due to this procedural decision.

Ooblets is still in EA on PC (I think), but it’s been an absolute gem to have been there for the ride. Every new addition is so well done, and it just oozes with charm and happiness. It will be a perfect fit for the Switch, and I’m actually tempted to buy it again.
