Good if it means less bugs, but still: fuck. I was excited to play both games. Still excited, but this just made the end of 2022 a little less cool.

I’m not sure I understand the difference between timelines and universes in the MCU. Or if there is any.
Basically: in Endgame, we learn that there is one timeline held together by the Infinity Stones, and that if you remove one of them, you’re sort of breaking this so you gotta replace the Stone you took to restore the timeline. Okay.
Then, in Loki, we’re told that the timeline is in fact sacred and kept together by the TVA and its leader, the Kang variant, and that they pretty much don’t give a shit about the Stones. Fine, so then I guess in Endgame the Ancient One was just doing the TVA’s job, in a more subtle way ? Then the Kang variant gets killed, and there starts to be timelines all over the place.
Then, in Spider-Man: NWH, people from other universes start to show up. I was expecting them to explain that this was caused by the ending of Loki, like "the spell should have worked but something broke the timeline so it all goes to shit", but it was not mentionned.
Then, in Dr Strange: MoM, the existence of other universes seems to be a given (since America has been traveling across them for year) – regardless of whatever happened in Loki, and with no mentions of variants or stuff like that.
So basically, my question is: does a universe contains one or a set of timelines, and are the Sacred Timeline and the TVA from Loki specific to the universe of Earth-616 ? Or does a branching timeline actually creates another universe and the death of variant Kang triggered more incursions than there used to be, leading to the MoM plotline ? Or has Disney barely any idea where they’re going with this at all and they are planning of retconning the whole thing like they did in Phase 1 with the Infinity Stones ?
I like Marvel shows and movies but I’m curious to know what’s the comic book lore on all this.

Yeah agreed
I want a second season because the first one was great and that Lockley seems like a great storyline to pursue, not because I need everything from the first season to be explained

I think I’ve played Wii Sports countless times as a teen, as an adult, with family, with friends, sober, drunk, high and I’ve never ever swinged my remote into the TV – I have no idea how it’s possible. I’ll see what I can do with Switch Sports.

Honestly not sure why people think that. Chronicle is fine but it’s not exactly a masterpiece IMO, F4 was a disaster (arguably not only because of Trank but still), and Capone wasn’t such a great comeback. Dude has talent but I highly doubt he’d do well with Disney and the MCU – and frankly I don’t think him or Disney would be willing to take the risk.

I don’t know, I’m having quite a good time with this show so far, it might be among my favorites from the MCU. Last episode told a great story in a fairly intelligent way. I’m actually kind of bummed that there’s only one episode left, because it feels like they’re going to have to sort of rush this arc’s conclusion, unless the episode is longer. Curious to know if they’re going to let Moon Knight sort of do his own thing later on with a season 2, or if he’s going to integrate the larger MCU – my bet is that he’s going to be recruited by the Contessa at some point, but we’ll see.
