Seems to be missing some. For example, I didn’t see any of the Burial Watchdog bosses in that line-up.

Good grief, now you’re just pulling complaints out of your ass.

The smaller titles, indie and otherwise, is where GP has really come through for me. Many I’ve tried and didn’t like, but I’ve also played some fantastic games that I might not have otherwise gotten around to playing.
Games like Carrion that I remember hearing about and thinking it sounded interesting, but then simply forgot about it until it showed up on GP. Or Firewatch that came out in 2016 and was highly rated, but for whatever reason I never got around to it at the time. Then it showed up on GP and I got to play it and loved it.
GP has helped me discover a lot of games I’d likely have never purchased separately.

It’s basically the gaming version of the various video streaming platforms out there. We don’t own any of that stuff either. In the end I don’t think most people care. People can buy any of the games they want and either take advantage of the additional Game Pass discount or just wait long enough that they are cheap everywhere. And this is quite unlike many of the video streaming services where much for the content isn’t actually for sale. You seem to be trying to create a problem where none exists for most people. We know how rentals work.

I’m still over here waiting on campaign co-op. One of the pillars of the Halo franchise that should have been there at launch and that was also previously promised to arrive with this new season and did not. MS and 343 continue to fumble their flagship franchise. Which is disappointing because MS is getting so much else right this generation.

I don’t think this one bothers me either way. Adding a buy back wouldn’t effect me in the slightest because I keep all unique items anyway just in case. But the game isn’t going to let you sell an item required for progress.
In this case this is a completely optional side quest. I never fully progressed the quest so I don’t think I ever picked up Ds armor. Not sure. I know I didn’t use it to summon the brother for those gargoyles. I got past them with the standard ash summon. Pretty much all of the side quests are like this. There are steps that are easy to miss regardless of whether you sell a required item or not. But you don’t need any of it to advance the main story. So, IMO, not having a buy back doesn’t change much either. You’ll still almost certainly miss stuff if you aren’t following a detailed guide.
And given the comments here and from Maddy’s co-workers it sounds like most players aren’t foolish enough to be selling everything they pick up. That really is a pretty ridiculous mindset in a game like this especially when you have an nearly bottomless chest to store stuff if you want to clean out your character’s inventory.

Yeah, I played pretty much the same. By that point in the game I only ever thought about the amount of runes I was carrying if I was more than half way to the next level. The 1000 runes Ds armor sells for is completely trivial and certainly not worth selling a unique quest item.
