Gattaca and Dark City are always great choices.

I’m genuinely surprised someone rates the sequels to skylines better than the original which was an impressive and fairly tight movie that uses its limited budget to great effect. The sequels that are roving and don’t have the budget to match the originals visuals so and the direction and DPing just aren’t good enough to distract from it. The third one was definitely an improvement on the second, and I get the retro made for TV sci-fi appeal, but I wouldn’t say its particularly notable beyond like the original being in dire need of about double its budget to be really excellent.

They’re mixed, some of them are genuinely good and certainly address feedback over the years from the original novels and their own which not everyone likes. The ones dealing with the Bene Gesserit were IMO the better ones of the post Frank era.
