Once you finish taking down enemies in the first area of V Rising, you’ll need to start finding Iron Ore to upgrade your gear. Our V Rising guide explains where to find Iron Ore quickly.

Where to get Iron Ore in V Rising

You can find Iron Ore scattered around Dunley Farmlands the same way Copper Ore is found around Farbane Woods.

However, you can find tons of Iron Ore in the Haunted Iron Mine in southern Dunley Farmlands. The problem here is that the Haunted Iron Mine is home to Meredith the Bright Archer, a level 52 V Blood, who can pose a huge issue to you if you’re not ready to fight her.

Based on our experience, the mine is also home to an Undead Commander, who will distract Meredith (and even get her to low health if you’re lucky), so you can use this other enemy to help take her down.

You can also just run away while they’re duking it out against each other to quickly grab enough Iron Ore to upgrade your gear, and then come back later to fight them when you’re better prepared.

How to make Iron Ingots in V Rising

You can put the Iron Ore in your Furnaces to turn them into Iron Ingots, but only after you’ve beaten Quincey the Bandit King, a level 37 V Blood. Beating him will also unlock the recipes for the iron weapons, the Smithy, and the Tailoring Bench, which will help you level up a lot.

Quincey can be found in the northern Bandit Stronghold in Farbane Woods. We’ve marked his location below.
