Assassin’s Creed Origins: What we know

And by “we” I mean “I, Simone de Rochefort”

Simone de Rochefort has been producing & hosting YouTube videos for Polygon since 2016. She co-directed the upcoming documentary The Great Game: The Making of Spycraft.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is coming out on Oct. 27, and it may very well be my most-anticipated game of the year. Like the other games in the venerable thousand-year-old Assassin’s Creed series, which has lasted longer than the history of man, Assassin’s Creed Origins is about beautiful people with sharp objects.

The sharp objects are used to make murders happen — that’s what we know so far. The beautiful people are in Egypt this time, and they’re beautiful there. As for everything else, well, the people have a lot of questions. Can you kiss that bird? Don’t do that. No one wants you to kiss the bird.

As a fair warning, this episode of SEO Play contains a lot of birds, like a pretty hefty amount of birds. Watch out.

SEO Play is our weekly show where we answer the most pressing questions about upcoming games. We used to curate them from Google search but it got boring, so now the show’s title, which is a pun on “search-engine optimization,” or “SEO,” is technically misleading.

I don’t really care, though.

Watch the other episodes on our YouTube channel, and look out for birds wherever you go. They’re vicious.

The next level of puzzles.

Take a break from your day by playing a puzzle or two! We’ve got SpellTower, Typeshift, crosswords, and more.
