E3 got Switched up

In the debut teaser for the Nintendo Switch, we met an astonishing young woman who would come to be known as Karen. While playing games alone in her apartment, she was beckoned to join a lively rooftop party. A person of lesser courage and dedication would have caved to peer pressure and stopped gaming.

Not Karen.

Karen never stops gaming. She went to the party, and she brought her Nintendo with her. Whether or not she enhanced or ruined that party is still up for debate, but what we know for sure is that on that summer evening, she became legend.

We at Polygon are dedicated to preserving and growing the Legacy of Karen, so we took our Switch to E3 and set about finding daring new places to game around the LA Convention Center.

When you mount a 20-foot dragon, keep gaming.

Long escalator ride? Sounds like a good time for gaming.

Game in life.

Game in death.

Game for Karen.
