Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is comprehensive in a few ways:
- It has every character from past games.
- It has nearly every stage from past games.
- It has broken pretty much every code set forth in standard No. 1926 of the United States Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
In Unraveled, I try my best to investigate the minutiae of large video game series, holding them to account when others might say, “It’s just a video game, Brian. Please. Go to sleep.”
But who can sleep when there are dangerous stages putting beloved Nintendo characters at risk? I went through every single Super Smash Bros. Ultimate stage with a fine-toothed comb, picking out each and every OSHA violation, and at the end, I presented the wonderful Masahiro Sakurai with a bill for his crimes.
