Fortnite’s season 5 map has some big changes

From Paradise Palms to Lazy Links, there’s plenty more to see

Fortnite’s new map has no shortage of changes and surprises, like the addition of Paradise Palms. Moisty Mire has finally been drained, leaving this desert area and resort in its place. Among the houses and tourist traps, there is a full go-kart track that can be used to race against other players. Although unnamed, there are also lots of nearby attractions, like a ’50s diner, a junkyard and a pueblo-style village.

Anarchy Acres has been straightened out to form the new Lazy Links luxury golf course. The broad greens are easily traversed in season 5’s new vehicle, the All Terrain Kart. These four-person rides can do jumps and power-drifts, and are roomy enough to seat an entire squad.

Last season’s hot spot, Dusty Divot, has received a bit of a downgrade, transforming from government research facility to overgrown outpost. There’s still loot to be found, and the trees provide a nice cover for trading bullets, but it looks like it won’t see much action for the time being.

That’s just the tip of the viking ship when it comes to changes! Check out the video above for more dramatic updates to Fortnite’s map.
