How to calculate your pet’s HP

A simple equation that only requires you to observe your pet for years without any interaction

What is a hit point?

This question has confounded scholars and philosophers for nearly a century. HP is a concept that, on its surface, seems relatively simple, but when you get into the business of quantifying a creature’s life energy, the ramifications are terrifying. If you knew the inner machinations of life’s algorithm, would you use that knowledge for good?

I wouldn’t! I would use it to create an equation to calculate my pet’s HP, which is exactly what I did in this video.

If you’d like to calculate your own pet’s HP, you’ll need a pet behavior data sheet and the table of values. You can find both of these materials below.

Then, all you have to do is add your pet’s class base (b) to their user level (u) multiplied by the pet type modification (m). Put more simply:

HP = b+(um)
