Zelda Breath of the Wild guide: Shai Utoh shrine walkthrough and puzzle solutions

Halt the tilt

The Shai Utoh shrine is hidden behind a cracked wall. You can find the location southeast of Faron tower, toward Ubota Point (past the Lakeside Stable).

  1. The first step is to get to the shrine at all. Use a remote bomb to destroy the cracked wall.
  2. Once inside, walk forward to the seesaw. Fire up your stasis rune and lock the seesaw in place so you can climb up it without it tipping.
  3. At the top of the ramp, repeat the process on the seesaw in front of you. You’ll be using this one twice — once in each direction. To the right is a treasure chest containing a souped up traveler’s sword.
  4. Drop back onto the seesaw and do the tip-and-stasis trick again to cross to the left side of the room.
  5. Head all the way to the back of the room. There are two seesaws: one angled one that you can freeze (like you have twice so far) and one that’s horizontal but will tip as soon as you step on it. You’ll need to counterweight the other end (the end closest to the monk) to be able to make it to the exit.
  6. Return to where you walked up and use magnesis to grab the treasure chest you opened above. Carry it to the back of the room.
  7. Stand on the end of the seesaw farthest away from the entrance, lift the treasure chest as high as you can with magnesis and then drop it on the far end of the seesaw. When you fly up into the air, deploy your paraglider and float left to the highest area of the dungeon. It overlooks everything.
  8. Walk to the end of the highest area (farthest from the entrance) and drop down to get a treasure chest. Open it for an ancient core.
  9. Drop down and pick up the treasure chest with magnesis again. Place the treasure chest on the end of the seesaw farthest from the entrance. It will act as a counterweight, allowing you to walk up it like a ramp.
  10. Use stasis on the horizontal seesaw, and cross it to claim your spirit orb.
