Zelda Breath of the Wild guide: Katosa Aug shrine walkthrough and puzzle solutions

Nextdoor to the East Akkala stable in the Akkala tower region is Katosa Aug shrine (it’s on the path to the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab). You might have some opinions about it.

1. Head to the right and activate the controls for the first part of this shrine. It’s a giant game of miniature golf. You only have to hit the ball so that it rolls straight to the bowlswitch on your left. If you hit it too gently and the ball stalls out in the middle of the course, just hit B and start again.
2. You will be starting again.
3. Also, don’t hit it too hard.
4. And don’t exit before you see the ball fall into the bowlswitch or you’ll have to start again.
5. This will start a floating platform on a path that leads from near where you’re standing to right by the monk and the exit. Before you go up to the monk, though, work you way around to the back of the shrine.
6. Head down the stairs and activate the second control for the second motion controlled-miniature golf puzzle.
7. This one is curved and banked. You’ll have to hit it quite a bit harder than the first one. Aim just to the right of the middle of the curve. Just like before, hit B to start again.
8. You will be starting again.
9. When you get the ball in the bowlswitch, it will turn on a floating platform to your right. This one will carry you to a treasure chest containing a great frostblade.
10. Work your way back and claim that spirit orb.
