The Master Trials DLC brings Tingle’s Fairy Clothes and its associated “EX Treasure: Fairy Clothes” side quest into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Tingle’s Fairy clothes are the “green garments of a man who wished to be a fairy hidden in the ruins of Hyrule Field,” according to the item’s description. In this guide, we’ll show you how to find Tingle’s Fairy Clothes.
EX Treasure: Fairy Clothes side quest
When you boot up Breath of the Wild after installing The Master Trials DLC, you’ll receive the “EX Treasure: Fairy Clothes” side quest. Its text says:
The royal family of Hyrule collected historically significant outfits, but they were stolen by a bandit named Misko. Among the items stolen were a fairy’s green garments.
There's a journal that places the location of this treasure somewhere in the Outpost Ruins…
Travel to the Great Plateau tower, the closest warp point to the journal.
How to find the Fairy Clothes: The Great Plateau tower
Travel to the Great Plateau tower, the first tower you ascended in Breath of the Wild. At the top, face east toward the Dueling Peaks and paraglide off. Your destination is the southernmost part of the Outpost Ruins. (You can see the exact location and the path you’ll need to travel in the gallery above.)
In the Outpost Ruins, look for a book — Misko’s EX Journal — on a table against a wall. Read the book, which says (in part):
The green garments of the man who wished to be a fairy are hidden in the ruins of Hyrule Field.
Reading Misko’s EX Journal will update your adventure log for all eight of the stolen relics — Majora’s Mask, the Tingle armor set, Midna’s Helmet and the Phantom armor set. Regarding the Fairy Clothes set, it says:
Find these pieces at the ruins where trade flourished...
at the ruins where sinners were imprisoned...
and at the village ruins next to the farmland where many people once gathered.
Hyrule Field is a large area filled with ruins. To help find the Fairy Clothes fast, we’ll break down each location for you.
How to find Tingle’s Hood: Exchange Ruins

Just south of Central Tower is Exchange Ruins, “the ruins where trade flourished.” If you haven’t discovered it yet, drag your map cursor straight down from Central Tower until you see some ruins just a bit northeast of Aquame Bridge. Your path from the tower to the ruins will be littered with Guardians, so be careful.
Once inside the ruins, navigate to the south area between the two small bodies of water in the map above. You’ll see a treasure chest (marked with an “EX”) in the ground in a little sunken in landing. Yank it out with magnesis. Inside will be Tingle’s Hood.
How to find Tingle’s Shirt: Castle Town Prison

Just west of Hyrule Castle is a small island where Castle Town Prison is, “the ruins where sinners were imprisoned.” On the east side of the island near the road are the ruins you’re looking for. You’ll know you’re there when you see a Guardian roaming around exactly where the treasure is.
You’ll find the treasure chest near some destroyed buildings. Sometimes, you’ll find some white birds standing directly around the chest. You can easily spot it with magnesis, which you’ll need to pull it from the ground. Inside the chest is Tingle’s Shirt.
How to find Tingle’s Tights: Mabe Village Ruins

The final piece of the Fairy Clothes, Tingle’s Tights, are in the Mabe Village Ruins, “the village ruins next to the farmland where many people once gathered.” This one isn’t as obvious to find as the others. To find it, look east of Central Tower. From there, you’ll see two roads that should meet, but are broken. That’s the Ranch Ruins. Directly to the northwest of it is the Mabe Village Ruins. Head there.
Once there, head to the small body of water in the village. There you’ll see a dead Guardian. Below it, you’ll see a treasure chest when you use magnesis. Pull the chest out, and it’ll flip over the Guardian and you’ll finally have Tingle’s Tights.
Once you have the tights, you’ll complete the “EX Treasure: Fairy Clothes” side quest.

When you wear the entire Tingle set of clothes, you get a Night Speed Up bonus.
